Monterrey

2. Geography and climate 
This beautiful city is located south of the Sierra Madre Oriental mountain range and stands at a height of 537 m (1,762 ft). With its humid subtropical climate, summer climate does not go beyond 35 °C (95 °F) while in winter climate drops to about 19 °C (67 °F).

Besides Monterrey itself, the metropolitan area of the city includes Apodaca, Escobedo, García, Guadalupe, Juárez, Salinas Victoria, San Nicolás de los Garza, San Pedro Garza García, Santa Catarina and Santiago.

The main airport of the city is General Mariano Escobedo International Airport which is managed by the Grupo Aeroportuario Centro Norte (OMA). Del Norte International Airport is the second airport of the city.
