2. Geography and climate 
The city experiences a Tropical Monsoon climate. The average summer temperature here is about 34.9°C (94.8°F) to 34.0°C (93.2°F) and winter climate drops to around 20.8°C (69.4 °F) to 21.0°C (69.8 °F).
3. Districts 
The city is divided into 50 districts. These are called khet and even amphoe, in other places. Additionally, these amphoe are divided into 154 khwaeng, which are also called tambon in the other provinces. A few of the districts are Bang Kapi, Bang Khen, Bang Rak, Dusit, Min Buri, Pathum Wan, Nong Chok, Phra Khanong, Phra Nakhon and Pom Prap Sattru Phai.

The city is served by Don Mueang (International) Airport aka (Old) Bangkok International Airport) and Suvarnabhumi Airport aka (New) Bangkok International Airport. The former closed and again reopened. The latter is located 25 km east from the city's downtown area.

Over 75% of the city's population, obviously consist of Thais. 14% are Chinese and there are many from Southeast Asian countries and others. 93% of the city's people practice Buddhism. Muslims form about 5% of the city's populace, 1.5% are Christians and the remaining are less than 1%.
