Reykjavik:

This is an amazing city that is very European with its Café culture, pubs and warm, inviting nature. However, don't be fooled, the capital city of Iceland, Reykjavik, receives only four hours of daylight during summer while winter nights are almost bright as daytime. The houses here are bright and charming, the landscapes include red lava fields that forever tattoo your memory. Each part of the world's northernmost capital city is unforgettable because no matter how many similarities it may share with other countries, it still is unique in every single way.

2. Geography and climate
The city is located on the southwestern area of the country and is dotted with islands, peninsulas, coves and straits. The city experiences a subpolar oceanic climate. Summer weather is around 14°C (57°F) while winter weather, thanks to the Gulf stream, surprisingly doesn't get too cold and stays around -2°C (28°F).
3. Districts
Though a small place, the city is divided into 6 municipalities which are made up of many towns. These are Álftanes, Garðabær, Hafnarfjörður, Kópavogur, Mosfellsbær and Seltjarnarnes. Of these Hafnarfjörður and Kópavogur are most populated.
4. Air Travel
The city is served by the Reykjavík Airport, located at a short distance from the heart of the city. This airport serves few international flights. Most of the people in the country's international transportation happens at Keflavík International Airport, located about 50km (31 miles) from the heart of the capital city.
5. Society and culture
A majority of the city's population follow Lutheranism, which apparently also happens to be the country's state religion. Nevertheless, there are many who follow Catholicism, Islam (there has been a steady rise of Sunni Muslims), and other religions too.
