2. Geography and climate 
The city is located in the North-central region of the country. The area that falls under the capital city ofEstonia is 159.2 km² (61.5 sq mi). In summer, the temperature rises to about 32.3°C (90°F) to 31.2°C (88) while in winter, temperature drops to -8.2°C (17) to -8.7°C (16).

This Estonian city is divided into many administrative districts. These are Haabersti, Kesklinn, Kristiine, Lasnamäe, Mustamäe, Nõmme, Pirita and Põhja-Tallinn. Further, they are divided into sub-districts, such as Haabersti is further divided into Kakumäe, Õismäe, Rocca al Mare and Väike-Õismäe.
