2. Geography and climate 
The city is is 170 km (106 mi) southwest of Key West, Florida and it stands across the Straits of Florida. The city's cold season temperature averages at 72 °F (22 °C) while in warm weather it remains around 82 °F (28 °C).  Th city has Almendares River running through it.
3. Districts 
The city is divided into not districts, but 15 municipios (municipalities or boroughs). These are Arroyo Naranjo, Boyeros, Centro Habana, Cerro, Cotorro, Diez de Octubre, Guanabacoa,La Habana del Este, La Habana Vieja, La Lisa, Marianao, Playa, Plaza de la Revolución, Regla and San Miguel del Padrón.

The city and the country's principal airport is the José Martí International Airport which is home to the Cubana de Aviación. Also, there is another airport in the city called the Playa Baracoa Airport. 
5. Society and culture 
While in Cuba's capital, you will find that about 60% of the people here are of Spanish origin, about 22% of the population are a mixed-race, 11% are of African descent while a minuscule 1% hails from China. Before Fidel's regime, almost 85% of the people were Roman Catholic. Now, the city has a good mix of Protestants, Jews, Santeria, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc.
