AirBaltic is Latvia's national airline. It is based in the capital of Latvia, Riga and its main base is Riga International Airport. The airline is also the largest airline at its secondary hub in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The airline was established on 28 August 1995 with the signing of a joint venture between Scandinavian Airlines System and the Latvian state. It started operations on 1 October 1995 with a Saab 340 aircraft. AirBaltic has its offices in Riga, Vilnius, Minsk, Moscow, Kiev, Berlin, London, Odessa, Daugavpils and St. Petersburg. Its fleet consists of the following aircrafts:
